Before Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Voronkov was under night house arrest.

In 2022, he did not appear at the meeting of the Darnytsky District Court of Kyiv, where the case is being considered.

Volodymyr Voronkov did not cross the border legally.

According to law enforcement officers, the neighbors have not seen the accused at home since February 2022.

In July 2022, Voronkov was declared wanted.

The court authorized his detention.

The proceedings against Voronkov were stopped.

5 more defendants remain on trial.

In 2014, journalist and public figure Vasyl Sergienko was kidnapped from the yard of his own home in the city of Korsun-Shevchenkivskyi, Cherkasy Region.

Later, his body was found in a forest in the Korsun-Shevchenkivsky district, tortured, with a bag on his head, with numerous stab wounds, handcuffed.

We will remind that in 8 years neither the perpetrators nor those who gave orders to shoot people on the Maidan in 2014 have not been punished.

The main case regarding the shooting on February 20 is being heard for the seventh year.
