The European

Union may present an interim report on Ukraine's readiness for accession negotiations closer to the summer.

The head of the representation of Ukraine to the EU, Vsevolod Chentsov, told about this in an interview with Radio Liberty.

"Hopefully, this interim report that the Commission is due to present (the date has not yet been fixed, but it will most likely be somewhere closer to the summer) will allow us to set the right momentum, and during the few months that we have until October, conditionally (…) we will already be able to record, let's say, the full fulfillment of these conditions, and that the fulfillment of these conditions will be enough to move to the next stage - to start negotiations," the ambassador said.

The ambassador of Ukraine to the EU could not predict how long the negotiations would last, but he noted that Ukraine wants to prepare for them properly and maximize the percentage of adaptation of the Association Agreement, so as to "move at a pace".
