[Compilation of Chen Chengliang/Comprehensive Report] Japan will set up a new Ground Self-Defense Force Ishigaki Station on Ishigaki Island (Ishigaki City), Okinawa Prefecture, 322 kilometers away from Taiwan tomorrow (16th), deploying anti-ship and anti-aircraft missiles.
The Japanese military defense line extends to the southwest, and Ishigaki Island will become the front-line military force closest to Taiwan among the Japanese missile forces. It is obvious that the imaginary enemy is China.
According to comprehensive foreign media reports, the Ministry of Defense of Japan pointed out that the Ishigaki Island Ground Self-Defense Force station opened on the 16th, and the official event will be held on April 2.
Type 12 surface-to-ship missiles and Type 03 medium-range surface-to-air missiles (hereinafter referred to as "China SAM") are mainly used here as the main weapons. More than 570 soldiers will be deployed, including missiles and garrison troops.
200 military vehicles, including missile launchers, arrived at Ishigaki Island on the 5th, and ammunition will also arrive on the 18th.

The report pointed out that the deployment of the Ground Self-Defense Force on Ishigaki Island is a part of considering to respond to China and strengthen the defense force. It is a new military base opened on the outlying islands of Okinawa after Yonaguni Island and Miyako Island.
Japan's Ministry of Defense said: "The "gap situation" of the ground self-propelled troops in the southwestern region will be eliminated; it will help improve deterrence and response capabilities and protect national security."
Ishigaki Island is about 322 kilometers away from Taiwan, making it the second closest place in Japan to Taiwan.
The closest one is Yonaguni Island, which is about 111 kilometers away from Taiwan. A Ground Self-Defense Force station was opened on the island in March 2016, but only coastal surveillance troops have been deployed, and there are no missile troops yet.
Ishigaki Island will now be the closest front line of Japan's missile force to Taiwan.
In order to contain China, the Japanese government began to strengthen its armaments against the Nansei Islands in mid-2010.
Amami Oshima in Kagoshima Prefecture and Miyako Island in Okinawa Prefecture have deployed missile units. This year, after Ishigaki Island, it is planned to deploy surface-to-ship missile units in Uruma City, Miyagi Island, Okinawa.
Yonaguni is also advancing the deployment of missile forces.
