[Reporter Hong Dinghong/Kaohsiung Report] A fraud group headed by a man surnamed Wu used the Chinese "Tantan" dating app to lure Taiwanese unmarried women under the false image of "rich, rich and handsome" returnees. As a result, more than 50 people were willing to hand over their passbooks as head fraud account, 5 of them even paid 1.5 million yuan, or bought a famous watch as a gift to a "boyfriend" they had never met. The police arrested 18 members of the scam group and tracked down the number of other victims and the amount of fraud.

The Kaohsiung City Renwu Police Branch received a report that Wu Nan set up a fraudulent computer room in the north-central part of the country. After searching for evidence and confirming the location, in December last year, five suspects including Wu were arrested in hotels and residences in Taichung and Taipei. On the 12th, another 13 people were arrested, and a total of 18 people were arrested, and 50,000 yuan in cash and 2 famous watches were confiscated.
