New Delhi:

The CBI has filed a charge sheet against Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi and 14 others for criminal conspiracy and under the Prevention of Corruption Act in the "land for job" case.

Lalu Prasad's family is going to appear in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court today in this matter.

Lalu Yadav, Rawdi Devi and Misa Bharti have reached the court for production.

The case pertains to Lalu Prasad's family allegedly getting a job in the Railways in lieu of gifting land or selling land.

This matter is from when Lalu Prasad was the Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009.

The CBI has alleged in its charge sheet that irregular appointments were made in the Railways in violation of the laid down norms and procedures of the Indian Railways for recruitment.

It alleged that the candidates, in turn, directly or through their close relatives and family members, sold land at highly subsidized rates up to one-fifth of the prevailing market rates to the family members of RJD chief Prasad, the then railway minister.
