Azerbaijan has advanced 20 places in the "Global Soft Power Index" prepared annually by the "Brand Finance" consulting company.

According to the report of the British bureau of APA, Azerbaijan moved from 77th place to 57th place compared to last year's index.

According to this indicator, Azerbaijan is among the first 5 countries that achieved the most progress in the index compared to 2022, together with Georgia, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh and the UAE.

The USA, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, China, France, Canada, Switzerland, Italy and the United Arab Emirates occupy the first 10 places in this year's index.

Among the countries of the region, Russia ranks 13th, Turkey 23rd, Ukraine 37th, Georgia 49th, Iran 77th, Kazakhstan 79th, and Turkmenistan 88th.

Armenia is not included in the index, which includes 121 countries of the world.

"Global Soft Power Index" in order to reveal the indicators of states on the dimensions of Familiarity, Influence and Reputation, business and trade, administration, international relations, culture and heritage, press and communication, education and science, people and based on countries' indicators in the categories of values ​​and sustainable future.

Azerbaijan, which entered the Global Soft Power Index for the first time in 2021, ranked 72nd that year, and 77th in 2022.
