A storm, due to which road visibility dropped to almost zero, caused a mass disaster 25 km from the Hungarian capital, Budapest.

Footage of the incident, in which a total of 42 vehicles collided - 32 cars, 5 trucks and 5 trucks - was posted on the Internet.

The Hungarian General Directorate for Disaster Relief reported that the collision occurred on the lanes in the direction of the city of Gyor.

The accident caused a huge fire in which 19 cars and one truck were completely burnt.

The damage to the other vehicles is also serious, and some of them will be scrapped.

Onlookers stopped on the other side of the road also caused a collision in which two cars were injured.

Chain crash involving 42 vehicles in Hungary

70 firefighters and four helicopters were involved in liquidating the consequences of the accident.

Unfortunately, one person died and more than 40 were injured.

Two of the victims are in a serious condition, and 12 more are seriously injured and hospitalized.

According to eyewitnesses, weather conditions deteriorated sharply within minutes, with visibility disappearing almost completely.
