The Metropolitan of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate said that he prayed for the presidency of the head of state Volodymyr Zelensky even before the elections.

One of the priests of the UOC MP told about this in an address that he recorded on video.

According to him, the clergy and parishioners prayed for President Zelensky, so now they are asking "not to offend the Lavra."

Against the background of events in the UOC MP and the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, the priest said that Zelensky's victory in the elections was "revealed to him by God."

After that, he and the parishioners began to pray for the new president.

"In this monastery, I prayed and asked God that the Lord would reveal to me who will become the new president. The Lord revealed to me that Volodymyr Zelensky will be the president. Volodymyr will be the president," the metropolitan said.

After learning the news, the metropolitan called "my friend Michael" and informed him about the prophecy.

"Volodymyr said in joy: 'If I am elected, I will even be baptized.'

He also added that they prayed for Zelensky "so that he does not offend our Lavra."

We will remind you that currently

the UOC MP is accused of violating the terms of use of the Lavra property and

may evict the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine warned the leadership of the UOC MP monastery about the termination of the corresponding lease agreement.

The monks of the UOC MP are outraged by this fact.
