The so-called "shell hunger" is now not only among the "Wagnerians", but also among the personnel army of Russia.

Oleksandr Musienko, the head of the Center for Military and Legal Research, said this, Channel 24 informs.

The expert noted that now at the front, the Russians use 7-8 thousand ammunition per day, while in June 2022 the number of shells was 50 thousand per day.

"Russia uses 7-8,000, sometimes up to 10,000 shells per day in the directions where they are actively advancing. But compare this with May-June 2022, when they could use 50,000 per day when they were advancing near Severodonetsk." - he said.

According to the analyst, the situation with the provision of ammunition to the Russian army is difficult.

They simply do not have time to produce the required number of shells.

That is why Russia is begging for weapons around the world, and Putin sent the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Lukashenka, to China and Iran.

"In fact, Russia is begging for weapons around the world, because this is a real salvation for them at the moment. They cannot provide a reliable rear and support with their stocks. Therefore, they are looking for where to get them," says Musienko.

The expert said that Kiai has the largest production capacity of 152 mm projectiles.

According to Sky News, Iran supplied the occupiers with 300,000 shells.

Allegedly, this will be enough for Russia for a month of hostilities.

"If Russia's support is blocked, they will not be able to set up and fire up to 10,000 shots a day using only their resources," the expert concluded.

Earlier, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that the conflict between Prigozhin and Shoigu had reached its climax.

The owner of the "Wagner" PMC accused Shoigu and Gerasimov that his fighters were not supplied with ammunition and that there was a "shell famine".

It also became known that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation ousted the owner of "Wagner" and began to recruit Russian convicts for the war.

According to the information of the reserve major of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military expert Oleksiy Hetman, earlier the number of "Wagners" could reach 45,000, but now there are about 7,000 of them left.

The rest were destroyed by Ukrainian defenders.
