On March 13, with the coordination of the UN, a meeting was held in Geneva between the delegations of the UN, the Russian Federation and Ukraine on the extension of the "Grain Agreement".

According to APA's Istanbul correspondent, this was stated in the statement of the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey.

It was noted that Russia is in favor of extending the agreement if the export of its food products and fertilizers to international markets is ensured.

"The steps taken by the parties to extend the initiative are commendable.

However, in accordance with the instructions of the President, our minister continues his negotiations with his colleagues and relevant authorities to continue the activity of the grain initiative in a coordinated manner and taking into account the demands of the parties.

In addition, the Ministry has safely transported 24 million tons of grain from Ukraine to countries in need within the framework of the "Grain Agreement".
