In order to maintain the image of the country, Taoyuan Airport, Taipei (Songshan) Airport and Kaohsiung (Xiaogang) Airport only allow taxis with airport scheduling registration certificates to carry passengers within the airport area (as shown in the picture, it is Taipei International Airport).

In April, Songji launched a trial operation of multiple taxis, which can also carry passengers at designated points at the exit of the terminal.

[Reporter Chen Xinyu/Taipei Report] In order to maintain the image of the country, Taoyuan Airport, Taipei (Songshan) Airport and Kaohsiung (Xiaogang) Airport have established taxi self-discipline committees. Only taxis with airport scheduling registration certificates are allowed to carry passengers within the airport area. More and more passengers are accustomed to calling a car through the app, but it is actually a violation of the regulations at present.

Songshan Airport started trial running multiple taxis on April 1, which can also pick up passengers at designated points at the exit of the terminal, but this triggered a backlash from Xiaohuang, who was scheduled to work at the airport, as "unfair".

Taoyuan Airport, Taipei Airport, and Kaohsiung Airport all have taxi self-discipline committees. Registration certificates are required for scheduling, drivers must be screened by aviation police, and the standards for personnel and vehicles are stricter. The maximum fine for carrying passengers within the airport without registration is 9,000 Yuan.

According to the current regulations, passengers with large or small bags who land from Taipei International Airport (Songshan Airport) can not get on the bus on the road inside the airport if they use the APP to get on the bus. Take a roving taxi (without an airport platoon registration card), or go further and stop at the roadside.

However, many scheduled taxis in Songji cannot swipe their cards, and international passengers report inconvenience; there are also problems such as insufficient vehicles during peak hours.

Songshan Airport is expected to start a pilot multi-taxi boarding point on April 1. The driver of the taxi at Songshan Airport protested that to join the self-discipline committee, you need to pay a membership fee of 500 yuan for 3 years. It is unfair to open multiple taxis.

Zheng Jianzhong, director of Taipei International Airport, said that the payment of membership fees is an internal regulation of the self-discipline committee, not a fee paid to the government. The other relevant regulations are to improve service quality.

Zheng Jianzhong said that it is expected to set up a trial of multiple taxi boarding points on the separation island outside the domestic terminal in April, and the taxi boarding points for airport schedules will remain at the curb of the terminal.

Passengers who want to take other types of vehicles can go further to the gas station and take a "tour taxi" or go to Minquan East Road to hail a taxi.

Li Weier, chairman of Taiwan’s digital platform appointment pick-up industry union, said that the case was assisted by Lai Xiangling, a legislator of Taiwan’s People’s Party. It is an option for international tourists who first arrive in other places. The price is transparent, and they are not afraid of detours. It is a platform that is familiar with domestic use, and there is no need to worry about insufficient vehicles during peak hours.

In addition to Songshan Airport, it will also strive for the qualification to carry passengers at Taoyuan Airport.
