Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday compared Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to Lord Krishna while praising Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for controlling the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh.

Referring to a recent conversation with his wife, the Union Minister said, 'My wife asked me what is happening in Uttar Pradesh.

He told me about the epic Bhagavad Gita in which God has said that whenever there is injustice he will incarnate and put an end to evil. 

Addressing the Chief Minister Adityanath present on the stage, Gadkari said, 'Yogi ji is also working in the same way for the safety of the gentlemen, as Lord Krishna did.

He has taken strong steps against such people, who are dangerous for the society.

Union Highways Minister Gadkari reiterated his intention to build an expressway network in the state to make roads at par with American roads.


After laying the foundation stone and inaugurating various national highway projects worth Rs 10,000 crore here, he said, 'Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken strict steps to save people from evil practices and dangerous trends prevailing in the society

He said, 'Yogi ji, I assure you that gradually the flight service from Delhi to Lucknow will stop, because people will be forced to think whether to go by plane or from road.'

Gadkari said that the development of roads in Uttar Pradesh will remove poverty, hunger and unemployment in the state.

He said that there is a need to bring automobile industry in the state so that more and more youth get employment.

Earlier, while addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Adityanath said that today a strong network of road infrastructure is visible in the whole country with the inspiration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said, 'The credit for this goes to Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari under the guidance of the Prime Minister.

Highway construction is going on across the country and Gadkari ji has given a new height to its speed.

Later, Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of nine national highway projects worth Rs 3,500 crore in the presence of the Chief Minister in Mahoba.

Gadkari said that Mahoba is the land of brave warriors and it has a rich history.

With the construction of Jhansi-Khajuraho road, the traffic in Maihar-Singrauli-Ranchi Industrial Circle and Jhansi-Orchha-Khajuraho will be smooth and the tourism of the state will get a boost.

He said that with the construction of Kabrai section on the Madhya Pradesh-Uttar Pradesh border, traffic from Bhopal-Kanpur industrial circle to Lucknow will be smooth and time will be saved.

The minister said that with the construction of the road over bridge between Jhansi-Prayagraj, traffic in the Bundelkhand region will be eased.

Gadkari also announced four-laning of 258-km Ram Van Gaman road in Chitrakoot, 15-km four-lane bypass at Mahoba and 15-km four-lane bypass at Artara, 70 km from Prayagraj to Mirzapur at a cost of Rs 200 crore. Announced to make the distance four lane.
