By January 1, 2024, the work of the ground floor of the Ram temple will be completed.

The old Parikrama Marg of the grand Ram temple under construction in Ayodhya will be converted into a four-lane road and connected to the 14 Kosi Parikrama Marg.

An official gave this information on Monday.

Every year on the occasion of Diwali, lakhs of devotees circumambulate through this route.

Since the construction of the Ram temple is going on at a very fast pace, the number of devotees doing parikrama in future may reach in crores.

Ayodhya District Magistrate Nitish Kumar told 'PTI-Bhasha', 'The state government has approved Rs 1164 crore to make the parikrama road four-lane.

We have started the process of paying the compensation amount for the acquisition of houses and shops coming under its purview for widening the 25 km long 14 Kosi Parikrama Marg.

He told that not a single mosque is coming up on 14 Kosi Marg.

However, 23 big and small temples are definitely coming under its purview.

Apart from this, more than one thousand houses and shops will also be affected by this project.

The District Magistrate said that all these will be registered and they will be given proper compensation.

He told that during the widening of the road, underground power cables will be laid and sewer line will also be laid.

The District Magistrate said that at the same time beautification will also be done by planting trees.
