On the Taiwan-related part, Xi Jinping declared that the practice of "one country, two systems" and the "great cause of the reunification of the motherland" should be firmly promoted.

Realizing the complete reunification of the motherland is the common aspiration of all Chinese people, and it is the essence of national rejuvenation.

We must implement the "The Party's overall strategy for resolving the Taiwan issue in the new era," uphold the one-China principle and the 1992 Consensus, actively promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations, resolutely oppose interference by external forces and separatist activities for Taiwan independence, and unswervingly advance the process of reunification of the motherland.

As Xi Jinping enters his third term, what is the tone of the CCP’s Taiwan policy?

Qiu Taisan, chairman of the Mainland Affairs Council, said in an interview this morning that basically, Xi Jinping's keynote toward Taiwan is the so-called "promoting reunification", "promoting integration" and "anti-Taiwan independence" and "anti-intervention". They still haven't read it. To the important core of the people of Taiwan, that is to say, "we hope they can respect Taiwan's sovereignty and territory, as well as a mechanism of democracy and freedom."
