In Australia, a 24-year-old woman sought medical attention due to vaginal bleeding, urinary tract infection, and pelvic pain.

The doctors advised her to "relax and drink some wine."

Ladbible.com writes about it

Ashley Williams-Barnes, from Jervis Bay, New South Wales, said that when she was 24, her health took a turn for the worse.

Then she turned to the doctors.

However, one of the doctors said that "it's all in her head" and offered his treatment option - "relax and drink some wine."

Ashley claims that she suffered from heavy vaginal bleeding and constant pelvic pain.

Because of this, the woman constantly walked in black clothes, as she was afraid that other people would notice the blood.

Only two years later, the woman was able to get an appointment with another doctor.

Then she was diagnosed with cervical cancer with a malignant tumor measuring 5.8 cm. Doctors began to treat the patient, but they immediately warned that Ashley probably would not live long and would not be able to have more children.

The only chance of survival was a ground-breaking medical trial, during which Ashley underwent chemotherapy, radiation therapy and brachytherapy, a type of internal radiation therapy.

The woman managed to survive thanks to complex procedures.

Now she shares her story to encourage other people, especially women, not to always listen to doctors' refusals and to look for such doctors who could help.

It will be recalled that the woman found out about her pregnancy when she gave birth to her daughter at home in bed.
