Tropical storm "Freddie" killed more than a hundred people.

It happened on Saturday, March 11, in Mozambique and Malawi in southern Africa.

According to the World Meteorological Organization, this storm is one of the strongest ever recorded in the southern hemisphere.

This is reported by the Reuters agency. 

The storm lashed central Mozambique, tearing roofs off buildings and causing flooding around the port of Quelimane.

Also, torrential rains caused landslides in Malawi.

Electricity and communication have disappeared in some settlements in Mozambique.

Because of this, the extent of damage and the number of victims in the country are not accurately reported.

At least 99 people have died in Malawi due to bad weather.

This was announced by the Commissioner of the Department of Disaster Management, Charles Kalemba.

So, late in the evening on March 4, the first spring thunderstorm with snow and strong wind occurred in the capital.

Local residents captured atmospheric footage of the unusual weather.
