Military expert Oleg Zhdanov spoke about the capabilities of the Russian army and whether the Kremlin can currently arm a million soldiers to go to war against Ukraine.

He said this on his YouTube channel.

"As of today, Russia is no longer a bulldozer. They cannot even capture Bakhmut. Yes, there is partial success there. But taking Bakhmut for three months is not a bulldozer, but a cart with flat wheels," the expert noted.

In his opinion, the figure of 1 million mobilized is unsustainable for Russia.

"The Russian Federation will not even print summonses for a million people, they will not have enough paper. Russia mobilized 300,000 people. Putin is not announcing a second wave, although he planned to demobilize another half a million by the summer," says Zhdanov.

The expert reminded that mobilization in the Russian Federation continues, but slowly.

After all, the capacity of the mobilization system of the Russian Federation is no more than 100,000 per month.

"We still need a month's break to replenish stocks of uniforms, ammunition, and weapons. They are even taking their personnel to Belarus to be trained there. There are not enough instructors. It is even critical for Russia whether Iran will provide uniforms by spring - 40,000 sets, or no. Because there is nothing to change into. The helmets are Soviet. Regiments are created for riflemen, not motorized riflemen - because there is no equipment. Russia repairs old T-62s," he notes.

According to Zhdanov, today Russia is at the peak of its military capabilities.

And in terms of mobilization too.

"After all, if Putin could ``put under arms'' a million people, he would do it and even with ``three-liners'' he would drive his soldiers to the front. But they physically cannot do it. The Russian economy is simply choking," the expert concluded.

Earlier, Oleg Zhdanov commented on the probable counteroffensive of the Armed Forces on the occupied territories.

He also explained whether Patriot complexes can strike ground targets.
