[Reporter Chen Enhui/Taoyuan Report] Zhongli and Pingzhen Districts of Taoyuan City yesterday (12th) were suspected to be due to the explosion of a Taipower transformer box on Nandong Road, Pingzhen District, which caused a major power outage in the two administrative districts since 7 o'clock last night. The number of households is as high as 4,793, causing local residents to jump their feet. Until the early morning of this morning, there were still 1,920 households on the Jinling Road section of Pingzhen District that did not receive calls. At 2 minutes, all power was finally restored. Taipower Taoyuan District Sales Office stated in the morning that the cause of the power outage was a defective underground cable.
