Hundreds of flights were canceled today at several German airports due to a strike by airport workers, BTA reported, citing DPA.
The agency notes that travelers through Berlin-Brandenburg airports, as well as through Hamburg, Hanover and Bremen in northern Germany, should be prepared for significant delays and canceled flights due to the strike.
The strike, organized by the Verdi trade union, involves security officers and other airport workers.
Strike action continues throughout the day, with airport authorities urging travelers to contact their airlines for more information about flights.
