During the last massive attack on March 9, the Russian occupiers were looking for Patriot air defense systems in Ukraine.

Therefore, several waves of rocket and drone launches were carried out.

Nataliya Gumenyuk, head of the United Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, said this on the air of a nationwide telethon.

Humenyuk explained the occupiers' tactics:

  • drones were launched to distract the attention of the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces,

  • massive missile strike

  • next drone attack to check the results,

  • and at the end - a strike with "Daggers", which Ukrainian air defense cannot fail to shoot down.

"The enemy used such tactics in order to claim at least some victories. And to check our readiness to react to them. Such preliminary information that Ukraine already has Patriot-type systems played a significant role in this. And they tried to make sure is it really so," Humenyuk said.

We will remind you that the other day Polish Minister of Defense Mariusz Blaszczak said that

the first American Patriot anti-missile defense systems have apparently arrived in Ukraine.

But later in Poland, they denied the statement, explaining the error as "difficulties of translation".

Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, replied that the Armed Forces of Ukraine

did not receive the

 Patriot air defense system.

Later, the Financial Times wrote that

Ukraine allegedly received one of the two Patriot systems.

However, the installation has not yet been put into operation.

Ignat was forced to again deny the information that Ukraine received the Patriot air defense system.

According to him, Ukrainians will learn about the Patriot system's arrival in Ukraine when it shoots down a Russian plane for the first time.
