New Delhi:

Three persons, including a teenager, have been arrested after a video of some men allegedly harassing and forcibly touching a Japanese woman on Holi in the national capital Delhi surfaced on social media.

The police gave this information on Saturday.

It is seen in this video that some people are applying color to a foreigner and that foreigner woman seems to be uncomfortable.

It is also seen in the video that a person breaks an egg on his head.

She can be heard saying 'bye bye'.

A senior police officer said that the girl has not made any complaint, but the police, taking suo motu cognizance, has registered an FIR under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code.

According to the police, this video is of Holi day on March 8 and it was made in Paharganj.

The Japanese woman told in a series of tweets on Saturday that she had posted the video of the incident, but later removed it.

The woman tweeted, "On March 9, I tweeted a video of the Indian festival Holi and after that I started receiving more objectionable messages beyond my imagination, which horrified me and deleted the tweet."

I apologize to those who were hurt by the video.

She said, “I had heard that it is very dangerous for a woman to go out alone on Holi.

I wanted to participate in this Indian festival and so I participated along with 35 other friends but unfortunately this situation has arisen," the woman tweeted. Helped.

The place where the video was recorded is considered to be the most unsafe place in India and I participated in the festival." The woman said that the 'real Holi' is a wonderful festival in which people celebrate the arrival of spring by throwing colors and socializing on each other. Going beyond the standard, they celebrate by pouring color and water.

The woman said, "However, I apologize for worrying many people through the video and the video on Twitter, while my aim was to show the positive side and the celebration of India."

I really apologise." The woman said that when the incident came to light, the police promised to take action and "I hope that there will be a significant reduction in harassment of women during Holi next year."

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Sanjay Kumar Sain said that the people seen in the video have been identified and an FIR has been registered under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code.
