A nine-year-old boy was injured. 

This was announced by the head of the police of Mykolaiv Oblast, Serhii Shaikhet.

According to him, the man found a shell in his garden.

However, instead of calling the rescuers, he brought a dangerous object into the yard.

I left him there and went on business. 

It is noted that the ammunition detonated when the boy was riding a scooter in the yard.

"The boy was taken to the hospital. Doctors are fighting for his life," the police chief wrote.
