In the Polish city of Styrzynytsia, a truck driver, a citizen of Ukraine, hit a policeman who was regulating traffic at the end of a line of trucks standing in front of a checkpoint with Belarus. 

This is reported by InPoland.

"Moving towards Mendzizhets-Podlyaskyi, the driver of a Renault truck hit a policeman who was regulating traffic there. The officer was at the end of a queue of trucks standing in front of a cargo crossing with Belarus in Koroschyna. The 70-year-old citizen of Ukraine, who was driving, did not observe the safe distance when he passed the officer," the police said in a statement.

According to Barbara Salchynska-Pyrhla from the Main Police Department in Biala Podlaska,

the policeman had a flashlight and a reflective vest

.

The truck driver was sober.

The policeman was injured and hospitalized.

Now his life is not in danger.

Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the accident.
