The president of the unrecognized Abkhazia, Aslan Bzhani, ordered the security forces to be put on enhanced duty due to the protests in

Georgia.

This is stated on the website of his "administration".

"On Friday, the head of state held a working meeting with the head of the State Security Service, Dmytro Dbar, and the head of the State Security Service, Robert Kiut," the message reads.

In Bzhan, it was noted that a wide range of issues related to "external threats" are in the field of activity of law enforcement agencies.

In particular, Bzhani ordered the transfer of the personnel of the security forces to an enhanced mode of operation due to the protests in Tbilisi.

The day before, Russian propagandist Margarita Simonyan had already threatened Georgia with a missile attack because during the protests people chanted "Sukhumi" - the name of the city and capital of the Abkhazian Autonomous Republic, which is controlled by the Russian Federation.

It will be recalled that on March 7, Georgian deputies adopted the draft law "On transparency of foreign influence" in the first reading.

It actually copies the Russian law.

The document assumed that organizations and mass media, 20% of whose income is financed from other countries, would be considered "foreign agents", for this purpose a special register would be created.

In addition, the draft law provided for imprisonment for its violation.

After the scandalous vote on March 7 and 8,

thousands of people came out to peaceful protests in Tbilisi.

However, they ended in clashes with the police, who used tear gas and water cannons.

On March 8, the rally participants tried to surround the parliament building.

However, the special forces, using water cannons and tear gas, pushed the protesters out of Rustaveli Avenue several times.

People built barricades from benches and garbage cans, and during clashes with law enforcement officers, they overturned a police car.

On March 9, the ruling party "Georgian Dream" and the public movement "Power of the People" decided to withdraw the draft law from the parliament.

On March 10, the Georgian Dream faction of the ruling party in Georgia voted against the adoption of

the draft law at the plenary session of the parliament.
