"On behalf of all the members of the Pilots' Association, I would like to express my sincerest condolences to his relatives. In his person, we have lost a truly extremely dedicated and very competent pilot. We will miss him", said pilot Yanko Stoimenov on the air of "Denyat" ON AIR".

"He was a man who is very proactive in the Association and in the aviation ranks in general, he was very helpful to us. It became clear who the pilot who died near Lesnovo was

According to him, aviation is something that hides risk.

"Sometimes the better you are at one thing, the more you seem to try to challenge the matter you live in. We can't stop people's desire to fly. Everything that's been written and we have so far is based on a lot of victims. In this situation, when we are talking about an incident, we need to know all the facts and circumstances surrounding it in order to judge," Stoimenov commented to Bulgaria ON AIR.

"Aerobatics is the execution of maneuvers in the air space, without restrictions on the spatial movements of the aircraft. You do not know how you will find yourself at a moment and in what direction. If at one moment the Sun blinds you, everything happens in fractions of a second, this can to prove critical," the pilot added.

The guest explained that he had a case where he encountered a visual illusion.

"Fortunately, there were two of us. In a plane like this, where I do everything myself, any one thing can be fatal," he said.

According to Stoimenov, we do not know physiologically what happened to Vlaikov, because in such maneuvers the overloads are enormous.

"These overloads just shrink the vision in front of you, the blood is drawn from the brain and you start to lose the screen and a black diaper falls, you're still thinking, you're acting, but you can't see anything in front of you. We'll hardly understand that, there's no record of it ", he said.

He expressed hope that the facts that led to the tragic incident will be found.

"In every single incident, we look for conclusions to make aviation safer for the future, and that has always been the case. There are investigations where the result comes after 10 years," Stoimenov also commented.
