[Reporter He Yuhua/New Taipei Report] The Ankeng light rail in New Taipei City will be officially in operation next Monday (13th), and 5 connecting buses including Ankeng Line 1 will be officially in operation at the same time. During the trial operation period, the number of passengers was nearly 25,000, and Ankeng Line 1 accounted for the most 60%.

According to the Transportation Bureau, there are currently 5 connecting buses that provide light rail transfer services, including Ankeng Line 1 (Erbazi Botanical Garden-Taipei Town), Ankeng Line 2 (Liming Qingjing-Rose China Town), Ankeng 3 Line Ankeng Line (Lvyexiangpo-Anzhong Road), Ankeng Line 5 (Wucheng Community-Gengxin Ankang Campus), Ankeng Line 6 (Antai Road-Shuangcheng Light Rail Station), etc.

Lin Shiqin, Chief of the Transportation Management Section of the Transportation Bureau, said that during the trial operation period of the five shuttle buses, the total number of passengers served reached 24,549, of which the number of passengers on Ankeng Line 1 was the largest, accounting for 60%. In addition to commuting and transferring to the light rail in the hillside community, many light rail passengers transfer to Erbazi Botanical Garden, known as the "Ankeng Emerald", for outings during holidays.

The Transportation Bureau reminds that if you take the connecting bus and light rail, you can enjoy a two-way transfer discount within 1 hour, and the use of 1280 Shuangbei public transport commuter tickets is also applicable.
