Bihar's group of officials, which went to Tamil Nadu to investigate rumors about attacks on migrant workers, said in their report that such speculations were mere rumours.

Significantly, the latest fake video alleging attacks on migrant workers in DMK-ruled Tamil Nadu surfaced on March 6.

In this latest "fake" video tweeted by Manish Kashyap, one of the "migrant workers" can be seen laughing before talking to the camera.

Tamil Nadu Police has warned of legal action in this matter.

Manish has identified himself on Twitter as a 'public figure' and a "journalist". 

Police have said that the fake video on the attacks on migrant workers that surfaced on 6 March was shot in Patna.

In a statement, the officials said, "Many things have come to the fore in the investigation of the Bihar Police, including how a video of the thrashing of the laborers in Bihar's Gopalganj was made."

He said that a person has been arrested for sharing a fake video of attacks on migrant workers.

D. Balamurugan, the head of the committee that went to Tamil Nadu, said that every information about the alleged attack on the migrants was based on rumours.

He said, "There is no truth in the video or post posted on social media."

Bihar's senior police officer Jitendra Singh Gangwar said in a discussion with reporters that action will be taken against those who post fake videos and make them viral on social media.

Bihar Police registers another FIR against four people

Four days after arresting a man in Jamui district for sharing fake videos of alleged attacks on migrant workers from Bihar in Tamil Nadu on social media, the state police on Friday registered another FIR against four people as part of the probe into the matter. Is.

The Economic Offenses Wing (EOU) of the state police has registered a fresh case against 'YouTubers' Manish Kashyap, Yuvraj Singh and two others for circulating fake videos of migrants being killed and thrashed in Tamil Nadu on social media, a senior police official said. FIR has been registered.

This is the second FIR against Kashyap as he was a named accused in the first FIR as well.

One was arrested in connection with the investigation of the first FIR

Additional Director General of Police (Headquarters) JS Gangwar told reporters here on Friday, "Despite repeated attempts by the investigators, Manish Kashyap and Yuvraj Singh did not appear before the EOU officials."

They are absconding.

Now the EOU has started the process of issuing arrest warrant against him.”

Even before this, the EOU had registered the first FIR in the case on March 6 and registered a case against four people.

The EOU officials had also arrested one Aman Kumar from Jamui in connection with the investigation of the first FIR.

The people named in the first FIR include Aman Kumar, Rakesh Tiwari, Yuvraj Singh Rajput and Manish Kashyap.
