[Reporter Wu Renjie/New Taipei Report] There was a serious car accident in Danshui, New Taipei City this morning. A truck passed a downhill section of the road and directly hit a giant stone on the side of the road, causing the driver to become unconscious and the co-pilot injured. There was a serious car accident at Section 4 of Danjin Road in Danshui District at around 11:00 this morning. A 3.5-ton truck was driving through Section 4 of Danjin Road towards Tamsui. For unknown reasons, it crashed into a flower garden and Shigandang by the side of the road, killing 27-year-old driver surnamed Zhang. The 25-year-old brother who was unconscious and in the passenger seat was also injured. The two brothers were sent to Taipei Veterans General Hospital and Tamsui Mackay Hospital for treatment, but the driver surnamed Zhang was unable to recover until 12 noon.
