The Adelon group of companies of Ukrainian entrepreneur Dmytro Kovalenko

will supply up to 200,000 tons of coal to Poland and Ukraine

thanks to a new method of transshipment of products in Polish ports.

The need for additional sources of coal supply to Poland and the EU arose as a result of the introduction of an embargo on the import of Russian coal in response to Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, writes finance.ua.

Therefore, from the spring of 2022, it became obvious that domestic coal production will not be able to fill the Polish market or other European markets.

Due to many years of experience in global coal markets, the Adelon Group was one of the first in Poland to be able to contract with producers in South Africa, Australia, the USA, Colombia and Indonesia for coal products in the amount of more than 200,000 tons per month for consumers both in Poland and Ukraine, and from other European countries.

To ensure such volumes of imports, the unloading of coal in Polish ports was organized in such a way as to avoid the formation of "traffic jams" or traffic jams.

As you know, the Polish ports of Świnoujście, Gdynia and Gdańsk are focused primarily on export rather than import of raw materials.

The problem was the availability of free space and free deep-water moorings.

Specialists of Adelon AG and its Polish subsidiary Polska Grupa Importowa Premium sp.

z o. o. have developed and implemented a new type of ship-to-ship raid transshipment to avoid unnecessary port transshipment operations.

When large ships with a capacity of 50,000 - 60,000 tons dock at the port with their cranes and grapples, smaller ships with a capacity of 5,000 - 15,000 tons, on which coal is transhipped, go to the carrier.

Then even these small ones approach the shallow-water terminals, the infrastructure of which is still not fully used.

Thus, the companies Adelon AG and Polska Grupa Importowa Premium sp.

z o. o. opened a new direction for unloading coal, which does not lead to a collision with other participants in foreign trade.

The Adelon group of companies represented by the subsidiary Polska Grupa Importowa Premium sp.

z o. o., is one of the largest economic entities in Poland, engaged in the import of high-quality coal products from South Africa, Australia, the USA, Colombia and Indonesia to Poland and other countries.

The Adelon Group also participates in humanitarian aid to Ukraine, namely in the purchase and supply of various equipment, cars or assistance to the affected population of Ukraine in the form of food kits, personal hygiene products or medicines.

According to the owner of Adelon, Dmytro Kovalenko, in 2023 the group has big ambitions and plans to double its turnover thanks to the signed contracts for the supply of coal products to Poland, Ukraine and other European countries.
