A high-ranking source in the Government spoke about the approximate time frame when weapons capable of shooting down Russian ballistic missiles can be delivered to Ukraine.

"If a year ago the main goal was survival, today we are absolutely boldly talking about a new goal - to win," the source said. which was provided and is provided to Ukraine in terms of spare parts. The tank initiative has grown into a tank coalition, today it is a living real project. The partners are interested and even relish this opportunity. There is a belief that the same will happen with aircraft. After April, we are waiting for the delivery of Patriot, modern installations that give us a chance to fight ballistic missiles."

They added that now Ukraine is not protected from ballistic missiles.

"We are not protected from ballistic missiles, Kharkiv Oblast, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast, Donetsk Oblast, and Luhansk Oblast suffer from them. The Russians use the S-300 as a means of ballistics. Of course, this is an inaccurate missile. Its task is to destroy airplanes with small projectiles. -400 they tested twice in Kiev. The Russians have few of them. That is, we really need air defense systems capable of shooting down ballistic missiles. We are pressuring our partners that aviation is an element of air defense, that aviation platforms are needed to shoot down cruise and ballistic missiles missiles, Iranian drones," said an informed source.

To this, a source in the Government added: "Two more IRIS-T complexes will be delivered to Ukraine in the near future. One shot is 1.5 million euros. We are waiting for the Patriot from the Americans, the Germans. But for understanding — to secure even all of Kyiv — around the perimeter we need 4 Patriots. When we show our partners how successfully we use them, they understand that they can give more. That's why the Americans are looking for us, convincing our partners that we need to give them weapons. NASAMS is a very cool complex that was developed in Norway for the Americans. We expect 6 NASAMS from the Americans, the 7th from the Canadians and another 6 from Norway. It is a matter of time. We have learned how to shoot down Iranian drones with cheap means."

We will remind, in January, the adviser to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, announced that the Patriot systems will be on combat duty in Ukraine already in the middle of spring 2023.

As reported in the President's Office, Ukraine plans to receive two batteries of Patriot air defense systems with 8 launchers each.

These systems can shoot down enemy ballistic missiles.
