A senior aide to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that Kiev "has nothing to do" with last year's attacks on the Nord Stream pipelines and there is no information about what happened, Reuters reported, citing BTA.

Mykhailo Podolyak, Zelensky's policy adviser, made the statement to Reuters after the New York Times published a story citing officials as saying a pro-Ukraine group was responsible for the pipeline blasts.

Podoliak wrote on Twitter that "Ukraine has nothing to do with the incident in the Baltic Sea and has no information about a 'pro-Ukrainian group.'

Although I enjoy collecting amusing conspiracy theories about government, I have to say: has nothing to do with the Baltic Sea mishap and has no information about "pro-sabotage groups".

The American daily reported earlier today that new intelligence that US officials have seen shows that a pro-Ukrainian group sabotaged the Nord Stream pipelines carrying natural gas from Russia to Europe, Reuters reported.

"New York Times": A pro-Ukrainian group carried out the attack on the Nord Stream gas pipeline

However, according to intelligence, there is no evidence that the government in Kiev was involved in the attack that took place in September 2022.
