From this day the tradition of burning Holika started.

It is considered very auspicious to do Holika Dahan in Pradosh Kaal.

In such a situation, on March 7, from 6.24 pm to 8.51 pm, there will be a very auspicious time for Holika Dahan.

At this time, there will be chances of getting special fruits by burning Holika. 

• To perform Holika Puja on Holika Dahan, wood is collected on the morning of Holika Dahan itself.

  There are many people who start collecting wood weeks before Holika Dahan.

  These sticks are tied three or seven times with white thread or raw cotton. 

• After this, Kumkum, Gangajal and flowers etc. are offered at the place of Holika Dahan.

  Holika Dahan is done only after worship. 

• Holika parikrama can also be done while burning Holika. 

According to religious beliefs, some remedies are also done on Holika Dahan.

The first solution for this is that while doing parikrama of Holika, Madar's dal should be put in it.

Apart from this, it is considered auspicious to rotate the ashes of Holika Dahan seven times near the head.
