Every day, border guards detain about 20-30 people who try to cross the border of Ukraine outside the checkpoints.

On March 7, the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andriy Demchenko, said this on the air of the telethon.

"Unfortunately, attempts to illegally cross the border do not stop. In fact, daily, border guards detain groups of people who storm the border in order to cross it outside the checkpoints, that is, along the green section of the border. On average, we can detain about 20-30 people per day ", he said.

Demchenko added that these are mainly citizens of Ukraine of conscription age, who are limited in their ability to cross the border during martial law.

On the other hand, there are few cases of crossing the border to illegally enter Ukraine.

There are even foreigners who try to do it.

"There were several cases from citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as from other countries. Everyone has their own goal, with which they try to enter the territory of Ukraine illegally, despite the fact that they did not have the proper documents or grounds for crossing the border legally," he said Demchenko.

As a reminder, students, athletes and other citizens who are not subject to mobilization may be allowed to travel abroad during martial law.

The corresponding draft laws No. 9075 and No. 9074 were submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
