The Russian occupiers continue their attempts to surround Bakhmut.

The situation in the city is difficult, but not critical.

This was stated by military expert Dmytro Snegiriov, "Espresso" informs.

"Right now, the most appropriate decision would be to withdraw Ukrainian units beyond the Bakhmutka River. After all, this river will become an excellent natural obstacle for the Russian troops. This will help the Armed Forces of Ukraine to qualitatively organize the nature of active defense," Snegiryov believes.

According to him, the Russians are trying with all their might to cut the logistical routes to Bakhmut.

Now the occupiers are advancing from the area of the captured villages of Berkhivka and Yagidne in the direction of the village of Khromov.

In this way, they are trying to take direct control of the road from Bakhmut to Time Yar.

"The Russians are trying to complicate logistics for the Armed Forces. However, the situation in Bakhmut is difficult, but not critical. We are holding our positions. Moreover, Ukrainian units are counterattacking in the area of the settlement of Ivanovske," the expert concluded.
