According to a Reuters report, the Japanese media Kyodo News quoted unnamed diplomats as saying that the South Korean government will propose a solution to the historical and legal disputes between the two countries on the 6th of this month, including compensation for those who were in Japan at the time. The South Korean government did not confirm the incident, but said in a statement, "In order to come up with a reasonable solution that is in the common interests of both parties as soon as possible, Seoul is currently using various methods to conduct consultations with Japanese diplomatic authorities at various levels."
