The Cuban Aviation Corporation SA (CACSA) reported a few hours ago through its official channels, about an incident at the José Martí International Airport that occurred in a Boeing 737 aircraft of the Southwest airline (SWA 3923).

At 12:05 p.m. this Sunday, the entity specified that the plane bound for Fort Lauderdale detected failures in one of its engines during the takeoff process.

"Following the established procedure, their landing at the Havana Airport was authorized. The passengers were evacuated and are in good condition," they stressed.

CACSA indicated that the causes that originated said event are being investigated.
