[Reporter Wu Junfeng/Tainan Report] Chief Executive Chen Jianren visited the newly remodeled Entrepreneurial Family Dream Dormitory of Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology today, emphasizing that the "Central Government's Special Budget for Strengthening Economic and Social Resilience after the Epidemic and All People Sharing Economic Results" will strengthen care for disadvantaged students Loan families, those who meet the requirements, will be provided with a one-year principal and interest subsidy, and it is estimated that nearly 550,000 people will benefit.

Chen Jianren said that the recipients of the one-year principal and interest subsidy include disadvantaged students who are still in school, who are taking care of children under the age of 12 after graduation, or whose monthly income is less than 40,000 yuan. The government will help tide over the difficulties through the special post-epidemic budget .

Chen Jianren also hopes that the government and the school will work together to strengthen the care of students with student loans, so that ambitious disadvantaged children can realize their dreams, and the family will be happier, the society will be more stable, and the country will be stronger.

In response to the Ministry of Education’s dormitory upgrade plan for colleges and universities, Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology spent 25.97 million yuan to promote the H2 Entrepreneurial Family Dream Dormitory, building the original innovation incubation center on campus, and revitalizing the space.

The current site is a dormitory with 120 beds, and a multi-functional open space is planned, which can be used for events and performances. Through the field learning model, entrepreneurial energy can be nurtured and the foundation for the development of technical and vocational education laid.

Chen Chien-jen affirmed Southern Taiwan's educational performance. Facing the impact of declining birth rate, it was able to rank second in the enrollment of domestic universities of science and technology. It has successfully cultivated countless outstanding talents who are creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial, and manufacturers are vying to recruit them.

Chen Chien-jen also admired the planning model of the new dormitory. The students brainstormed and with the guidance of the teacher, they came up with better ideas to assist the development of Taiwan's innovative industries and benefit all mankind.
