Due to the fact that the Russian army lacks qualified fighters, new weapons will not help them turn the tide of the war. 

Yevhen Dykiy, a veteran of the "Aidar" battalion, said this on the air of the FREEDOM TV channel.

According to him, despite the fact that it did not have heavy armored vehicles a year ago, it managed to hold key cities and free part of the captured territories.

"The main part of any weapon is the fighter's head.

In order for Russian tanks to become a kind of game changer, slightly different brains had to be added to them, starting from the very top and those who planned the so-called "special military operation", and only a month later realized that they had arrived at all for a great war," said Dykiy.

He also said that the Russians were also misdirected. 

"They were going to a foreign country on tanks and they were told that no one would shoot at them.

Therefore, the game changers as a result were ordinary guys from the Chernihiv Teroborona, who understood how to meet the enemies who come to Ukrainian land," said the guest of the broadcast.

Dykiy recalled that at that time the Ukrainian Defense Forces had not yet been supplied with heavy equipment.

"At that time, they did not hand over a single heavy machine, a single gun.

Nothing that is supplied to the allied armies and that which is provided to the Armed Forces now.

At that time, we were supplied with weapons for partisans: anti-tank and anti-aircraft complexes, portable, hand-held.

That is, this is the weapon that can be used by a platoon that fought back from its regiment, a partisan unit, an underground in the city," the message says.

According to Dyky, the Russians are used to fighting for complete superiority in the sky.

They fought like this in Afghanistan, in Syria, during the two Chechen wars.

 "In all cases, they did what they wanted from the sky, carried out carpet bombing, and only then did their army work below.

But it didn't turn out like that here.

It turned out that Ukraine has anti-aircraft defense, partly outdated, partly field, i.e. "Stingers", but it is there.

And what's more, she showed herself perfectly.

It turned out that their army is already used to fighting when there is no control over the sky, when you don't come to an already bombed area, but when you have to go through unbroken enemy positions," Dykyy explained.

Today, the Russians no longer have a technological advantage, he stressed.

"Today there are already disputes - we destroyed only half of their pre-war tank park, or two-thirds.

But less than half - in principle, no one gives such an estimate.

It is the same for other types of armored vehicles, a similar picture for artillery.

Therefore, now their main advantage is, actually, excuse me, "cannon fodder", it is indecent to call people that," Dykiy summarized.
