The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,

Oleksiy Danilov,

separates the Belarusian people from the Belarusian authorities.

He stated this in an interview with "RBK-Ukraine".

Danilov also said that Belarus is occupied by Russia for economic and other issues, but does not give in and does not go to war with Ukraine:

"It is held, despite the fact that it has been occupied by the Russian Federation for a long time, economically and on many other issues.

But the Belarusians do not give in yet, they have no desire to fight with us.

And the fact that today they are not taking a direct part in armed aggression, namely the armed forces of Belarus, we properly assess it.

Some of our "hotheads" say that we urgently need to deploy the army and go to Belarus and so on.

I want us to be aware that this is a very dangerous situation for us, given that today we have a huge front line with Russia," he said.

Danilov suggested dividing the Belarusian people and the authorities.

According to him, Belarusians are also fighting on the side of Ukraine:

"I would separate the Belarusian people from the Belarusian authorities.

Many Belarusians are fighting on our side, and we are grateful to them for that," he said.

At the same time, Danilov believes that Lukashenka is able to resist Putin's desire to involve the Belarusian army in hostilities.

According to the Secretary of the National Security Service, the Kremlin would be happy to involve Belarus and Moldova so that the Ukrainian side would be forced to disperse its forces:

"Lukashenka became the country's president in 1994 after becoming the head of the State Farm.

And he did not leave this post for a single day.

It is not necessary to think that it is so simple.

He is a multifaceted person.

And despite the fact that Putin constantly wants to conditionally "rape" him so that he makes certain decisions that the Russian Federation needs, Lukashenka understands how this can all end.

And that's why I don't think that Putin will be able to pressure him," said Danilov.

Danilov once again mentioned the Belarusians, reflecting on the differences with the Russians:

"Why are they different from us?

And this is what the West cannot understand.

Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova are Europe, geographically, mentally, historically, we treat the European community.

And Russia belongs to Asia, a large amount of its territory belongs to Asia, they are Asians," he said.
