The train schedule will be adjusted from April 26, and the capacity of the Ziqiang train will be adjusted. The total increase was 8.7%, the west line increased by 7.6%, the east line and the south line increased by 9.8%, and a total of 386 trains were affected.

The Taiwan Railway Administration said that passengers can check the timetable after the change on the official website of Taiwan Railways and the "Taiwan Railway eBooking" APP from March 6th, and open group bookings from March 8th, and March 29th. General passenger booking is open.

Add 2 direct trains of EMU3000 and Puyuma to the western trunk line

The key points of this timetable adjustment include the addition of 2 direct trains of EMU3000 and Puyuma on the western trunk line, 143 and 110 additional EMU3000 self-improvement trains, and the driving interval of Qidu-Chaozhou from Monday to Saturday, and Sunday It will be extended to Hualien via the North Circuit, and there are fewer stops for direct trains. The travel time from Taipei to Kaohsiung is only 3 hours and 57 minutes.

In addition, Puyuma trains 131 and 132 have been added, and the travel time from Taipei to Kaohsiung is 3 hours and 40 minutes; the 131 trains run from Nangang to Chaozhou, and the 132 trains run from Fangliao to Nangang.

This change will increase the number of EMU3000 and 900 EMUs in the eastern region, replacing the original PP push-pull Ziqiang and DMU Chailian Ziqiang, and the transportation capacity of the eastern and southern routes can be increased by 9.8%.

The original DMU Chailian Ziqiang 407 Taitung-Shulin and 242 Shulin-Hualien were replaced by EMU3000 Ziqiang, of which 242 were extended to Taitung and the train number was changed to 442; the original PP Ziqiang 443 new Zuoying-Shulin, 484 Changhua-Taitung and South Circuit 302 Taitung-Xinzuoying, 305 Xinzuoying-Taitung, 310 Taitung-Xinzuoying will be changed to Puyuma trains; the original Juguang Route 702 Taitung-Xinzuoying and Route 707 Xinzuoying-Taitung are changed to EMU3000.

Juguang trains 704 (Taitung-Xinzuoying), 713 Xinzuoying-Taitung and DMU Chailian Ziqiang 235 Hualien-Shulin, 224 Shulin-Hualien and other trains will be run by EMU900-type express trains.

The 377th (Taichung-Taitung) and 378th (Taitung-Taichung) original cross-line trains running on the southern half ring, the two trains will extend the travel interval, change to Qidu and return to Taitung via the south, and change the number of trains to 161 , 168 times.

On April 26, 386 trains were affected by Taiwan Railway’s major changes, and the travel time of direct trains on the North Highway was as short as 3 hours and 40 minutes.
