Tejashwi told the BJP that if you do not trust us, then get the Home Minister to investigate.

Patna:

In the Bihar Legislative Assembly, the BJP again raised the issue of alleged thrashing of Bihari workers in Tamil Nadu.

Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav replied on this.

Citing the statement of the Director General of Police of Tamil Nadu, he said that BJP people are making false statements.

Tejashwi challenged the BJP to get the matter investigated by the Union Home Ministry as well.

BJP is continuously demanding to send the investigation team there.

In fact, the matter gained momentum after some YouTube channels showed misleading news of the killing and assault of laborers from Bihar in Tamil Nadu.

A clarification has already come from the Tamil Nadu government regarding this news.

Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav says that BJP is giving air to this issue under the politics of hatred.

Video of earlier incident - Tejashwi

Tejashwi Yadav said that the DGP has issued a statement that a false and mischievous video has been released.

Workers from Bihar have been attacked in Tamil Nadu.

This incident is false, it happened a long time ago.

The local people there were fighting among themselves.

The facts are being twisted.

He said that Leader of Opposition, can you tell by watching the video that who is Bihari in it.

If you don't believe us, then get the Home Minister to investigate.

Attacks on Biharis in Tamil Nadu - Jaiswal

BJP state president Sanjay Jaiswal accused Tejashwi of being indifferent to 'Bihari self-respect' and said, "It is a matter of regret that at a time when Biharis are being attacked in Tamil Nadu Our deputy chief minister visits that state. Apparently he wants to honor the Tamil Nadu chief minister for committing violence against the people of his own state."

He also said that even though the Chief Minister has expressed his anguish on Twitter, he does not have the courage to question the conduct of the Deputy Chief Minister.

Jaiswal said that we demand that the Chief Minister should make public that how many people from Bihar have been killed in the current period of violence in Tamil Nadu.

He said that we are pained by the plight of Bihari workers in Tamil Nadu and this is a day when our party under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has registered a resounding victory in the north-eastern states like Tripura and Nagaland.

But we find ourselves unable to celebrate about it.

Nitish instructed the administration to look into the matter

Earlier, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar instructed the police and administrative officials of Bihar to look into the matter.

He said, “I have come to know through newspapers about the attacks on laborers from Bihar working in Tamil Nadu. Instructions have been given to ensure security.

Soon after, the Bihar Police Headquarters issued a statement calling it misleading and a rumour, saying that all Hindi speaking people are safe in Tamil Nadu.

It was said that immediate cognizance has been taken on the matter of violence in Tamil Nadu and the Director General of Police has talked to the Police Chief of Tamil Nadu and inquired about the situation.

The Director General of Police of Tamil Nadu has said that the post of attack on North Indians and Hindi speaking people has been made without verifying the facts and it is misleading and rumour.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu Police appealed to the people not to believe any misleading news or rumours.

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, the largest party in the Grand Alliance in Bihar, went to Chennai on Wednesday to attend a function organized on the birthday of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President MK Stalin.
