In March, several

magnetic storms

will cover the Earth at once .

Some of them will be protracted and may last several days.

This information was published on the Meteoagent website, which compiles an online forecast using information from satellite systems of NOAA, TESIS and scientific international meteorological laboratories around the world.

In total, there will be seven dangerous days in March when geomagnetic activity is observed. 

When to expect magnetic storms in March:

  • March 5 — a magnetic storm of medium intensity

  • March 6 — a strong magnetic storm

  • March 7 — a magnetic storm of medium intensity

  • March 15 — a magnetic storm of medium intensity

  • March 19 — a strong magnetic storm

  • March 20 — a magnetic storm of medium intensity

  • March 21 — a magnetic storm of medium intensity

Magnetic storms 

are disturbances of the Earth's geomagnetic field of varying intensity that can last from several hours to several days.

Such events can affect the operation of communication systems and lead to technical failures.
