"Yesterday in the city of Khojaly, a meeting was held with the representatives of the Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region at the headquarters of the Russian peacekeeping contingent temporarily stationed in the territory of Azerbaijan.

It is necessary to hold such meetings.

"At yesterday's meeting, preliminary discussions were held on the reintegration of Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region into the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with our Constitution and laws."

Fatma Yıldırım, a member of the Milli Majlis, said this in her statement to APA.

The deputy said that our state considers Armenians living in the Karabakh region as its citizens: "We have always said that those Armenians should be integrated into our society, should live according to the laws of Azerbaijan, and it is very important to take the first step in this direction.

Armenian citizens should live under our flag with our Constitution."

Fatma Yıldırım noted that Armenia occupied our lands for almost 30 years: "During these years, we have lost thousands of martyrs, we have experienced very painful days.

But Azerbaijan is a peace-loving state, and our people are a peace-loving people.

This is the main difference between us and Armenia.

The meeting was held with peaceful Armenian residents of Karabakh, and there is no talk of any separatists here.

The goal is to integrate the peaceful Armenians living in this area into our society, to live according to the laws of Azerbaijan.

As the head of our state declared, if someone does not want to live in Azerbaijan, the way is open, they can go wherever they want."

According to the MP, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev noted at the Munich Security Conference that the normalization process is being developed in two directions.

Firstly, peace negotiations between Azerbaijan and Armenia are continued, there is contact between the parties, and documents are exchanged.

The second is that after Ruben Vardanyan leaves the area where the Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, contacts will begin with the Armenian residents who live there and are our citizens: "The meeting held on March 1 is a manifestation of that contact, which is a part of the internal agenda.

This fact also shows that the recent campaign organized against our country from abroad did not bring any results and failed.

I myself am originally from Karabagh.

Our childhood was spent in Malibeyli village and Khankendi city of Shusha.

My grandfather, Yusif Aliyev, worked as the head of the education department of the former DQMV.

My father graduated from high school number 4 in Khankendi.

I mean, we used to live together in peace.

Therefore, contacts with our Armenian residents in Karabakh should be continued.

I believe that holding meetings with the representatives of the Armenian residents of Karabakh will bring good results.

Our compatriots displaced from those areas will also return to their native lands.

Karabakh should be a place of peace and stability from now on.

Our state is also working for this goal.

The next meetings with the Armenian residents of Karabakh may take place in Baku, Ganja or Aghdam.

On the whole, these meetings bring us closer to our goal."
