Israel helps Ukraine in many ways.

There is a lot of help: humanitarian aid, help with early warning systems, support for Ukraine in the international arena.

Jerusalem constantly supports Ukraine in the UN.

This was stated by the Ambassador of Israel to Ukraine, Michael Brodsky, in an interview with BBC News Ukraine.

"At all levels and through various channels, we support Ukraine - and I am sure that this support is felt here. And this is what we heard that in Ukraine they understand that Israel provides great and important support to Ukraine. Yes, there are open questions, there are requests from Ukraine, these requests are being considered in Israel," said Brodsky.

According to him, there is a consensus in Israeli society to support Ukraine, because more than 80% of Israelis support Ukraine.

"By the way, there is almost no issue on which 80% of Israelis would have a single opinion. Israelis are usually divided almost in half on all key issues, this is how it happened historically, we always have disputes, political struggles, on almost all issues there are always two opposite opinions. There are no two opinions on the issue of supporting Ukraine, there is one opinion. More than 80% say that Ukraine should be supported," the ambassador emphasized.

However, there are questions about the options for such support.

Brodsky says that the government, unlike ordinary citizens, must be responsible for the safety of the entire state, all citizens, and must approach all issues carefully and responsibly.

"And here the question arises whether some step will not harm the security of Israel. Or will we not do something that will not solve the problems of Ukraine, but will lead to the emergence of a new war in the Middle East or will lead to terrorist attacks and the death of Israelis. And here there is a fine line, which is dangerous to cross," the ambassador noted.

We will remind you that relations between Ukraine and Israel over the past year have not been the best.

The Ukrainian leadership has repeatedly criticized the Israeli government for its indecisive military support.

Israel blamed everything on its own security problems, saying that it needed this military support.

However, in recent months, the ice seems to have melted.

At a press conference on February 24, answering questions about the aid provided by Israel, President Zelensky said: "I know all the answers to your question, but I cannot give them to you. I cannot replace the improvement of relations between Ukraine and Israel that have begun."
