Over the past six months, the SBU neutralized hundreds of enemy agents on the territory of Ukraine.

The head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk, said this in an interview with the Independent.

He noted that the SBU targets a wide range of individuals, from prominent figures such as pro-Kremlin Ukrainian ex-politician Viktor Medvedchuk, who is a personal friend of Russian President Putin, to citizens gathering information on the whereabouts of Ukrainian forces.

"For decades, Russia penetrated our country through its agents in state bodies, the church, and the military-industrial complex," the head of the SBU said.

Despite the unprecedented number of attacks from Russia, Malyuk claims that the SBU had to "completely restructure" to counter the threat.

"Officers (SBU - ed.) literally live on the front lines. Our cyber security experts work day and night to counter enemy cyber attacks," he said, adding that work in cyberspace "has intensified significantly."

Despite the attacks on various fronts, including physical and digital, Malyuk is confident that Ukraine will win.

We will remind, the head of the SBU, Vasyl Malyuk, also said that the number of Russian cyberattacks on Ukraine increased fivefold compared to 2020.
