The Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov

Nikola Stoyanov was born in 1976 in Sofia.

A law graduate at Sofia University ordered Bulgaria's trade representatives abroad to collect data on the prices of more than 20 basic food products.

Among them are flour, oil, rice, beans, sugar, fresh and yogurt milk, butter, cow's cheese, yellow cheese, eggs, meat, etc.

Information will be updated weekly.

This will support the process of analyzing the formation of the price of the product from the producer to the end user, the Ministry of Economy and Industry indicates.

Our sales representatives will monitor weekly prices in large food chains in seven European countries - Germany, Austria, France, Romania, Greece, Czech Republic, Croatia, as well as in smaller retail outlets in the same countries.

The data will be processed and compared with the prices in the commercial establishments in Bulgaria, and all the information will be public.

Rumen Radev to the business: You have a major role in dealing with inflation and speculation

In this way, at any moment, the citizens of Bulgaria will have official information about the current prices in our country, compared with some of the leading European countries.

The reason is the growing number of reports that the same products are being sold at inflated prices in the Bulgarian retail network.

The goal is, on the one hand, for consumers to have complete information, and on the other hand, to limit unfair practices and the charging of excess profits by traders.
