How long will the mobilization last, what is the current wave

Martial law has been extended in Ukraine and mobilization continues, so summonses are issued to all conscript men aged 18 to 60.

According to the head of the personnel department of the headquarters of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Roman Horbach,


the general mobilization was declared along with the martial law and continues continuously and continuously

since February 24, 2022.

Since martial law in Ukraine was extended until May 20, mobilization will continue until May 20. 

The Armed Forces does not confirm that there are any waves of mobilization in Ukraine.

"There are no waves of mobilization. In most cases, citizens today are called to territorial recruiting centers to clarify military registration data. The decision to mobilize a citizen is made after the conclusion of the medical commission on fitness for military service," explained Roman Gorbach.

Who is being mobilized today?

In Ukraine today, all citizens who are fit for military service or those who are in reserve are called up.

According to Colonel Roman Horbach, military personnel with and without experience are called up.

"Today, we need specialists both for new types of weapons provided by partners, and to replenish losses. First of all, we are mobilizing personnel in certain accounting and military specialties." 

At the call of the TCC, conscripts must come to be registered for military service and to determine their assignment for wartime.

As Gorbach noted, currently people with limited fitness who have diseases that cause moderate impairment of body functions are also called up.
