More than 16,000 hectares of land in Aghdam region have been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance over the past years.

APA's correspondent sent to Agdam reports that Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Demining Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), said this in his statement to journalists.

He said that in accordance with this year's plan, more than 10,000 hectares of land will be cleared and handed over to the appropriate:

"Approximately 25 percent of Agdam region has been cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance. A number of projects have already been completed in Agdam."
