In 2022, the volume of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkey reached 5.8 billion dollars.

This means a 25% increase compared to 2021.

"APA-Economics" informs that Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Cahid Bagchi said this during his speech at the opening ceremony of "Agro Business Forum Azerbaijan-2023" forum-exhibition.

According to him, the goal is to increase the foreign trade turnover between the two countries to 15 billion dollars.

"In order to achieve this goal, we continue our cooperation in other fields as well as in agriculture. The food and agriculture sector is the most important element of the food chain. Turkey is important in the world in the field of agriculture, in 17th place. And in Europe, we are in the first place in this field. Last year Turkey's export of agricultural products has exceeded 30 billion dollars," said Cahid Bagchi.
