In Haryana's Faridabad, the police have arrested the accused driver in the case of being dragged about 200 meters from Bolero after hitting an elderly person.

The police of NIT-Panch Nirankari Chowk arrested the Bolero driver on Monday.

Acting under the direction of accident DCP NIT Narendra Kadayan, the team of NIT station in-charge Inspector Sunita has arrested the accused driver.

Police spokesperson Sube Singh said that the name of the arrested accused is Divanshu, who is a resident of Rae Bareli in UP.

He is living in a rented house in Fatehpur Chandila, Faridabad.

On the evening of 23 February, a 68-year-old businessman named Inder Lal was walking near Nirankari Chowk in NIT-5 area.

Meanwhile, the driver hit the businessman with a Bolero vehicle.

In such a situation, the merchant's cloth got stuck in the car.

But the accused driver dragged the businessman with his car for 200 meters.

During this, the stomach of the elderly businessman was hurt by both the tires of the vehicle.

The injured businessman was admitted by his relatives to Fortis Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment in the ICU.

As soon as the police received the information, the team reached the spot and on the basis of the statement of the victim, a case was registered against the accused and the search was started. 

While taking further action in the case, the NIT police arrested the accused and the Bolero vehicle used in the incident was taken into police custody.

Police inquiry revealed that the accused had put his foot on the brake by mistake instead of the brake, due to which the car crashed and the old man got hurt. 

After the collision, the accused got scared and fled from the spot.

After completion of the police inquiry, action is being taken against the accused under the law.
